Achieving the Singapore 1000 & Singapore SME 1000 Award
Force 21 is honoured to receive the Singapore…
25 August 2020In this modern era, much had advanced in technology that there is an overwhelming of different makes and models of fitness trackers in recent years. Most of these trackers have different functionalities that cater to different aspects of biodata, e.g. heartrate, VO2max, ECG, breathing rate, breathing volume, etc. With new improvements in technology in future, we will get to see better integrated sensors, more biodata to collect and analyse and most probably, moving away from our wrists, e.g. smart vest, shoes, smarter mobile phones, etc.
The truth is not every tracker is for everyone but surely there is a tracker for everyone. So the big question is how do you choose a tracker for yourself? Personally, I always use these few questions for myself at various stages of training to determine which one is the one for me.
1. What is your budget?
2. What biodata do you want to track?
3. GPS or no GPS?
4. What is your fitness level?
5. Chargeable or battery operated?
6. Do you need to have a chest strap or just wearing it on the wrist?
7. Will you be using it during swimming?
8. Is brand/design important to you?
With those questions answered, you will be able to decently identify 2 to 3 different types of trackers to choose from. Once you have successfully decided on your tracker, the next step is to stick to your routine and understand how to analyse those biodatas to fully maximise your training and recovery sessions.
Now, time to get started?
